I got to root canals done in about 2 and a half hours. I was in a little pain when I left but that is normal when you have this kind of work done. I filled my prescription about a block away at the pharmacy and haven’t felt any pain since. The next day I didn’t need to take anymore pain medicine and I feel great. Going back tomorrow for 2 zirconia crowns.

I have been to this group several times and have always had an excellent experience. Everyone on staff has been friendly, kind and courteous. Not this time. My appointment was not with the dentist I requested, Dr. Garcia. Dr. Marmol, the one who cleaned my teeth, was very impersonal, brusque, and almost rude. He did, however, clean my teeth satisfactorily. I often recommend this group, now when I do, I will add a caution to avoid Dr. Marmol.

Appointment was for teeth cleaning, which was something that I do every 6 months, but with another dentist. So, first time for teeth cleaning and although it was quite thorough, the cost was $70, which was explained as a “deep cleaning” which I thought should have been a standard procedure. The receptionist explained the next visit should be around $40 unless the deep cleaning was required. Just a little too much for what i considered to be a regular cleaning.

I have been seeing Dr. Avilla since 2011. He and his staff have always been professional and courteous making me feel welcome and comfortable in their office. So far I have had no problems with the work they’ve performed. I usually get free x-rays and an exam from a local dentist before making my appointment with Dr. Avilla. During my last exam the dentist commented how the root canal and crown (done 4 years ago by Dr. Avilla) was in great shape and was done really well. He was showing me the difference between that tooth and another crown done by an American dentist about 10 years ago. I have referred several of my friends and family to Dr. Avilla and have only heard wonderful things to say about their experience. There is a nearby shopping center with a great movie theatre (a couple dollars for the latest movies in english) and a few american restaurants like Applebees. If we have a break in treatments we usually go there to hangout, take in a movie, or grab a bite to eat. I’ve seen several dentists here in California who use high pressure sales tactics to try and make you do their recommended work right then. One time I went down because a dentists here in Ventura County swore that I needed a root canal and crown for a molar and wanted to charge $1,900. So, I made an appointment for a root canal with Dr. Avilla and after an examination he determined that I didn’t need a root canal, just the crown ($450 was all I had to pay and have had no more problems with that tooth). This is the kind of service you can expect when you visit their office. I have a bachelor’s degree from a prestigious University and am considered middle class. I choose to see Dr. Avilla for my dental care not because I can’t afford a dentist here, but because first it is high quality and I always feel that I am being taken care of, second is the fact that his prices are always less than half of what I am quoted here in the states. Plus, they will work with your American dental insurance company to pay for the work. Coming back across the border just ask the front desk for a medical pass and skip the line. It couldn’t be any easier! I highly recommend Dr. Avilla and his team of dental professionals to anyone needing any dental work. Dana

Same day work was done to complete care I started in the USA and could not afford to continue. I was very impressed with all the staff especially Dr Gomez. He took care of teeth that I could have lost and same day treatment was needed. He discussed his recommendations and prices and we discussed my options. After my decision to proceed with care Dr Gomez started my care and I had 3 appointments within a 2 week period which was perfect for me. I was treated with care and concern, (I am an RN here in USA). I know my comfort was a top priority.

My Experience at Avilas dental was PERFECT .Dr Rosie knows more about Dentistry then any Dentist I have ever been to in the USA.I had major work done and I felt so confident in Dr Rosie that I was not nervous at all .Dr Rosie explained everything in detail as she worked on me and was so gentle and kind and like most people going to the dentist is not high on the list of places we like to go ! I plan to go back every year for my teeth cleaning I would NEVER go anywhere else . I recommend Dr Avilas Dental group very HIGHLY you will not be disappointed !! Dr. Avila and his associates are excellent. Dr. Avila is honest. He also told me I didn’t need a procedure that a periodontist told me I needed and explained why. I have had crowns, fillings and teeth cleanings. My sister had two implants and another relative had a bridge. Very pleased with the work performed. The office is immaculate. I have referred others to him who thanked me and are now going to make an annual trip. My friends highly recommended him to me. He speaks fluent English. Digital x-rays – told me what work I can expect to need in the future. He told me I don’t need all the work now. Couldn’t be happier w. his work.
